Will Ellenstein

Hi, my name is Will. I’m a certified personal trainer and soon-to-be UC Santa Cruz alumnus.

For me, fitness is far more than a hobby, it's a foundational guide rail in my life. It gives me purpose through the goals I set and the progress I track, comfort in knowing I’m taking care of my health, and a sense of capability when I achieve those goals and can say, I earned this.

Growing up, I played a variety of sports—basketball, swimming, wrestling—but water polo was my true passion. After high school, I lost that built-in outlet for physical activity. Over time, I noticed the absence taking a toll: my energy, mood, and self-confidence all declined. It wasn’t until I started weightlifting that things began to shift. That’s when I realized something powerful: taking care of your body makes it easier to take care of your mind.

Over the past three years, I’ve dedicated myself to learning how the body works and how people can reach their personal health goals, whatever they may be. I became the go-to resource for friends looking to build strength, lose weight, improve endurance, or work on mobility. After helping several friends transform their routines and results, I knew it was time to formalize my passion and pursue certification.

In 2025, I became a certified personal trainer and joined the Toadal Fitness team. Since then, I’ve also served as an instructor for the Toadal Longevity Training Program, where I’ve been fortunate to learn under the mentorship of Dr. Casey Feickert, a Doctor of Physical Therapy. His guidance has deepened my understanding of movement mechanics and client care even further.

I work with clients of all ages and fitness levels. My approach blends coaching with education, helping you understand not just what to do, but why you're doing it. Fitness is a lifelong journey, and my goal is to equip you with the tools to take care of yourself well beyond our time together.

If you're ready to take that next step toward your health and fitness goals, I’d be honored to help you get there.
